Our Philosophy
At Alphabet Soup Preschool, we believe every child deserves a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Our year-round program is designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence in children ages 3–5. Through hands-on, play-based experiences, children explore art, science, literacy, math, music, and drama in an environment that celebrates their individuality.
We provide a safe, inclusive space where children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. By fostering a balance of independent exploration and group interaction, we help children build not only knowledge but also friendships, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning.

Our History
Alphabet Soup Preschool was founded in 2006 on San Juan Island, Washington. Lead teacher Stevie Mae started her journey at Alphabet Soup as an intern when she was 15 years old. From there she went on to pursue her career in early childhood education, and in 2025 became the proud owner of Alphabet Soup Preschool here in Seattle.
Today, Alphabet Soup Preschool is proud to serve families across Seattle while staying true to its mission: creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
